We are looking to recruit a Buddy / Support worker for a physically disabled 17 year old male living in the Pedmore area of Stourbridge who is starting Halesowen College in September 2017.
Your duties will include accompanying our client to and from his home to the coach pick up point on designated college days (approximately ½ mile) either on foot or by car (if you are a car owner). Hours will also be available during college holidays.
HOURS OF WORK
Approximate times during term time will be:
Morning - 7.30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Evening - 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Days - TBA
Our client is visually and hearing impaired, is small for his age and has some mobility problems but can walk unaided.
This role may be suitable for a young person who also attends Halesowen College who has some experience or is undertaking training in Health and Social Care.
Rate of pay are £8.50 per hour.
